Edward “Ed” Wojohn, 81, of Charles City, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City surrounded by his family.
A funeral service for Ed Wojohn will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 South Main Street, in Charles City with Pastor Patty Kellogg officiating.
Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City with Brad Wojohn, Justin Wojohn, Derek Hutzell, Jadon Jeffries, Sean Theisen and Rick Boehmer serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be at Hauser Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 and will continue one hour before the funeral on Saturday.
Edward “Ed” Richard Wojohn was born September 5, 1936 in Charles City, the son of Emil and Ellen (Gregory) Wojohn.
Ed married the love of his life, Delores “Dorie” Hoy on June 18, 1960 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale and they were married for 58 years. He was the loving father of Brad (Mindy) Wojohn, Ginger Hutzell and JoJo (Sean) Theisen; devoted grandfather to Chasity Jeffries, Justin Wojohn, Derek Hutzell, Braxton Wojohn, Walen Wojohn and many great-grandchildren.
Ed loved to trout fish, camp, garden and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a supportive and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed dearly by all of us.
Ed was preceded in death by his half-sister, Phyllis Stewart and half-brother, Kennith Cook.
