Rockford Man Enters Plea Deal For Barrage Of Charges

Floyd County, Iowa – A Rockford man has pleaded guilty to five of 14 counts of forgery, identity theft, truck thefts, burglary, arson, possession of stolen goods and a drug violation.

Court documents say 23-year-old Colten Lindley has entered written guilty pleas to five of those charges.  As part of the agreement, Floyd County will drop the other nine charges and recommend no prison. The 25-year year prison term is to be suspended.

Law enforcement charged Lindley and 20-year-old Jason Duane Burnett of Rudd after a series of thefts over the summer including two Dodge trucks, a trailer and tractor.

Burnett faces 13 charges and he’s pleaded not guilty to all of them.  The trial date is for October 30th.
