The Score Sheet: Rockford Suffers First Loss, Osage and St. Ansgar Ready To Battle In Rivalry Game

West Fork handed the Rockford Warriors their first lost of the season last night.  

The Warriors lost 3-1. Kayla Carroll and Jamie Schuster combined for 32 of Rockford’s 38 kills in the match.  Carroll also collected six stuffs at the net while netting four aces. Sierra Kuhlers had six aces in the match.

With the loss, Rockford drops to 2-1 on the season with a match up on the road Tuesday at Northwood-Kensett.

The Osage Green Devils remain undefeated this season after capturing their second sweep of the season, downing Central Springs in straight sets.  Dani Johnson hit 0.448 and had 19 kills and Kisley Paige added 8. Senior Rylie Olsen contributed 34 assists.

The Green Devils and the Saint Ansgar Saints square off tomorrow in Osage.  The Saints are 1-1 heading into the match and Osage is a spotless 2-0. First serve is at 7pm.

The North Butler Bearcats notched their fifth win of the season sweeping Mason City Newman in straight sets. The Bearcats served 10 aces last night and Emy Osterbuhr led North Butler with 18 kills and Sydney Eiklenborg collected 15.  

North Butler is 5-4 and host Central Springs on Thursday.

The Nashua-Plainfield Huskies are still searching for their first win of the season after dropping to 0-3 after a five set thriller last night.  Northwood-Kensett downed the Huskies 3-2 – taking the fifth set 15-13. Liberty Fisher led the Huskies with 15 kills and Makenzie Foelske added seven.

 The Huskies look for their first win of the season tomorrow hosting Mason City Newman.
