The Score Sheet: Comets Snap Six-Game Skid, Osage Offense Rings Up 56 Kills

Charles City 3, Decorah 1

The Charles City Comets snapped a six game skid by taking down Decorah last night.  Here’s KCHA’s Erik Hoefer.


Osage 3, Nashua-Plainfield 0

It only took 46 minutes.  The Osage Green Devils made volleyball look easy last night dropping Nashua-Plainfield in straight sets.  The first set, the Huskies only had three points. Green Devil Dani Johnson led Osage with 12 kills, Kaebre Sullivan collected 10, part of 56 kill performance last night.  The Green Devils also had 12 aces in the match. Nashua-Plainfield is now 0-11 on the season and hosts a tournament on Saturday. Osage improves to 9-2 with the win and travels to Dike-New Hartford on Saturday.

Central Springs 3, Rockford 0

The Rockford Warriors traveled back to Manly rematching with Central Springs last night.  But Central Springs had other ideas sweeping the Warriors. A quiet Warrior offense only registered 13 kills in the match led by Morgan Thieman who had four.  Rockford is at the Nashua-Plainfield tournament on Saturday.

Saint Ansgar 3, West Fork 0

Saint Ansgar grabbed their third win of the season last night sweeping West Fork in straight sets.  Blayne Koster led the attack with nine kills and Brooke Hackbart added five. The Saints collectd 11 aces in the match.  With the win, the Saints are 3-5 and travel to the Forest City Tournament on Saturday.
