The 3-1 Charles City Comets face a high-powered but 0-4 Waterloo East tonight in Waterloo.  The Comets have won 3-0 after their one-point set back in week 1. Head Coach Darren Bohlen on they keys to a Comet victory.


Nashua-Plainfield looks for their first win and points of the season tonight on the road at eighth-ranked Saint Ansgar.  The Saints are coming off two dominating performances after their loss to osage. The Saints are 3-1 this year.

It’s homecoming night for the Osage Green Devils tonight.  They’ll aim for a win putting them over .500 for the first time this year against Denver.  Osage quarterback Brett Bobinet is coming off of a Class 1A passing record last week. Denver is winless this year coming off of a 48-12 loss to North Fayette Valley.

The North Butler Bearcats are in the midst of a three-game skid and look to break it on the road at Aplington-Parkersburg.  A-P is 2-2 on the year after a 20-point setback to West Marshall last week.

The 3-1 Rockford Warriors host Janesville tonight.   The Warriors are coming off of a 54-36 win over Dunkerton.  Janesville is 2-2 and they look to rebound after a 12-point loss to Don Bosco last week.  

The Riceville Wildcats look to snap a two-game skid tonight hosting undefeated Northwood-Kensett who is coming off a 54-0 blanking of North Iowa last week.

Here’s a the weekend high school volleyball preview:

7-13 Charles City head to Cedar Falls tomorrow and faces Washington-Cedar Rapids and West Des Moines Dowling Catholic.

The Nashua-Plainfield Huskies and the Riceville Wildcats  travel to the Dunkerton tournament tomorrow.
