Area Meetings: CCSD Board Meeting, CC City Council, Floyd County Board Of Supervisors

Charles City School Board

There will be a Charles City School Board meeting tonight at six.  The board will acknowledge September 27th as Legendary Teacher day, the use of flexibility funds for signage, discuss the Carrie Lane Lease, and discuss the human resources association membership.

Charles City Council

There will be a Charles City council planning session followed by a special meeting.  The council will discuss: waiver requests for off street loading and parking requirements for 1906 Gilbert and 1307 Main street and purchasing a pickup for the housing department.

The special planning session will consider approving the SFR report for fiscal year 2018.

Floyd County Supervisors

The Floyd County board of supervisors meeting will hold a regular meeting tomorrow morning at 9 am.  They will have a public hearing on the amendment to the county budget for fiscal year 2019. They will take action on the abatement of taxes for Colwell.  There will be action for a fireworks permit, action on the fiscal year 19 Iowa Department of Transportation budget amendment and a report from County Engineer Dusty Rolando.

Mason City Council

The Mason City City Council will old an informal neighborhood listening post in the second ward from 7-8 tonight at the First Presbyterian Church at 100 south Pierce Avenue in Mason City.  The meeting focuses on second ward issues, but all residents are invited. The second ward is the northwest quarter of Mason City.


Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
