Floyd County Supervisors Approve 1.5 Million Dollar Budget Amendment

Charles City, Iowa – The Floyd County Supervisors approved 1.5 million dollars to spend on flood repairs and the law enforcement center.  County Engineer Dusten Rolando says the rain events that continue to happen have caused the same issues in the same places.

Linda Tjaden is the chairwoman of the board of supervisors.

The county engineer services expenditures increase by one million and general services by 500 thousand dollars.  The budget amendment also says there is 425 thousand dollars in extra revenue coming from the Federal Emergency Management Association for the disaster President Donald Trump declared for June 29.

Rolando says he may submit another amendment this winter depending on mother nature.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
