Osage Sweeps Comets In 2018 With Win On ‘Donate Life Night’

The Osage Green Devils have swept the Charles City Comets in 2018.  Last night, Osage downed Charles City in straight sets during Donate Life Night in Osage last night.  Osage won a back-and-forth first set.

Osage took the second set 25-10 and survived the third set 25-21.

Sydney Midlang led Osage with 10 kills in the match.  Dani Johnsen netted eight. Sami Heyer led the Comets with 10 kills herself and Jodi Sidlinger had five more to add to the Comet’s 22.  The Green Devils had eight blocks. Charles City hosts Waukon in the regular season finale tonight from Comet gym. We’ll start tonight’s broadcast at 7:00pm.  Osage is 25-5 with the win.  The Comets fall to 10-23.

Nashua-Plainfield picked up their fourth win of the season with a three-set win over South Hardin.  The Huskies are at North Butler tonight for a tournament.

North Butler is riding high on a 10-game winning streak! They went undefeated Saturday in the North Iowa tournament and puts their 18-10 record on the line in their own tournament tonight.  

The Saint Ansgar Saints went 1-3 on Saturday, the lone win came against Clear Lake in straight sets.  The’re at Riceville tonight.

The Wildcats pick up a pair of wins over the weekend to improve their record to 8-18.  They host Saint Ansgar tonight.
