A Visit To Emergency Room Lands Patient In Jail

Osage, Iowa – A visit to an emergency room gone rogue.

36-year-old Brandie Renee Rogers of Saint Ansgar is being charged several counts of inappropriate behavior while at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center last week.

The charges are: felony interference with official acts causing serious bodily injury, assault on peace officer, interference with official acts, public intoxication and public consumption of alcohol.

She’s accused of drinking alcohol in the emergency room. According to court documents, Rogers became physical with officers, slipped her handcuffs, and refused to cooperate.

Rogers then smashed her head into the police car door and kicked a deputy in the knees several times.  During this, the door slammed on a deputy’s finger, fracturing it and cutting it.

Rogers is due in court today.
