Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department Adds Officer And Man’s Best Friend

Charles City, Iowa The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s office has landed a new officer and a man’s best friend.

Former Nashua K-9 officer Stephen Johnson has joined the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s department as a canine handler.  

Johnson brings experience from the Nashua Police Department and Iowa law Enforcement Academy certification.

The City of Nashua issued a letter transferring the dog named Duke to the sheriff’s office for one dollar.

The Chickasaw County sheriff’s office now has two dog handlers.
