Two injured after stabbing near Hot Shots; Suspect still on the run

Charles City, Iowa – Police say two people were injured in a stabbing in the 700 block of Riverside Drive early Sunday morning.

According to a press release, officers responded to the pool hall around 1:38am and discovered one victim was already on their way to the hospital by private vehicle.  In a follow up, it was determined to be two subjects who were injured, both treated and released from the Floyd County Medical Center.

Police say 35-year-old Trellis Baily has been identified as the suspect, who fled on foot before officers arrived. Baily has been charged with attempted murder, a Class B felony. He is still on the run.

Through the investigation, it was determined to be an isolated incident as the victims and suspect knew of each other and the general public is not believed to be in any immediate danger.
