Iowa Father Found Guilty Of Murder, Child Endangerment In Son’s Death

Mount Pleasant, Iowa – 29-year-old Zachary Paul Koehn of Alta Vista has been found guilty of murder and child endangerment causing death of his son, four-month old Sterling Koehn.

It took a Henry County jury of seven women and five men less than an hour of deliberations Tuesday to convict. Murder carries a mandatory sentence of life without parole. Sentencing will be at a later date.

Trial for Koehn’s girlfriend and mother of the child, 21-year-old Cheyanne Harris, is pending. She also was granted a venue change.
