Children and Parents Test Positive For Meth, Lead To Charges After October Fire

Nashua, Iowa – An October house fire has led to child endangerment charges against a Nashua couple.

32-year-old Olngellel Camacho and 29-year-old Heather Susan Brymer are charged with felony child endangerment and two counts of aggravated misdemeanor child endangerment.  Both pleaded not guilding. Brymer’s three children were in the house.

A seven-year-old needed CPR and had to be liflighted to Iowa City for serious smoke inhalation.  The other two were treated at Mercy Medical Center New Hampton.

Authorities say tests on hair samples from the seven-year-old,  six-year-old, and both parents tested positive for meth.

Camacho’s trial will be held on April 24th and no date has been set for Brymer.
