Three injured after multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 218 south of Nashua

Nashua, Iowa – Three people were injured in an early morning crash on Highway 218, south of Nashua this morning.

The Iowa State Patrol accident report says 48-year-old Donald F. Fairholm of Charles City was traveling northbound with 57-year-old Bambi K. Teska, also of Charles City, following behind at a slow speed. 49-year-old James E. Garner of Dunlap Ill was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of Teska’s vehicle, pushing it into the back of Fairholm.

All three were transported to Floyd County Medical Center with unknown injuries. The report states all drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The accident remains under investigation.

Agencies that assisted at the scene included the Iowa State Patrol, Bremer County and Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Offices, Chickasaw County Ambulance and Nashua Fire and Rescue.
