Supervisors cut salary increase proposals for county officials

New Hampton, Iowa – The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors have approved a resolution lowering the raises for the county’s elected officials.

With a 3-2 vote, the Supervisors slashed the compensation board’s recommendation by 85 percent- from 10 thousand to fifteen hundred dollars.  The supervisors did not take an increase in salary.

Here’s the salaries for the Chickasaw County elected officials:

County Attorney: $102,663.20

Sheriff: $78,384.80

Auditor: $60,481.40

Recorder: $60,473.00

Treasurer: $60,473.00

Supervisors: $28,028.00 (no increase)
