Comet wrestlers fall in double dual, weekend sports lineup


The Charles City Comets grappled some top ten opponents in Crestwood and Decorah.  The Coments went 0-2, falling to the Vikings 45-31 and 39-25 to the Cadets.  They’re at Hudson tomorrow.

The New Hampton/Turkey Valley wrestling team went 2-1 in their quad.  The Chickasaws notched wins over Jesup and AGWSR but lost to Denver.

Girls basketball scores:

North Butler girls topped North Iowa 55-40.  The Bearcats have picked up two staright wins and improve to 3-8.

The Riceville Wildcasts dropped a 43-40 contest to Don Bosco.  Riceville is 3-8.

Boys basketball scores: 

North Butler snagged their second straight win edging North Iowa 57-52.  The Bearcats are 3-7.

Riceville is 1-9 after a 48-42 loss to Don Bosco

Weekend slate: (all games are double headers, unless noted)

Charles City boys host Decorah, the Comet girls are at Decorah with KCHA radio broadcast starting at 7:15.

New Hampton girls are at Waukon with 95.1 The Bull radio broadcast starting at 7:30, the New Hampton boys host Waukon
