Land expansion allows city to improve sewer system, save money

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Council approved the purchase of land for the Water Resource Recovery Facilty construction project.

At Monday’s special meeting, the council approved the $125,000 purchase plus closing costs at 300 Shaw Avenue.

City officials tell North Iowa News the property will allow for construction of the equalization basin and reed beds to help save $300,000 in initial construction costs.

It will also provide improved day-to-day operational benefits.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
