The Score Sheet: Iowa State women pound TTU, ISU men prepare for WVU

The Iowa State women raced out to a 10-0 lead at the outset and cruised to a 105-66 win over Texas Tech in Hilton Coliseum.

Bridget Carleton scored 27 points and Kristin Scott added 22 on eight of 12 shooting as the Cyclones move to 6-3 in the Big-12.


The 20th ranked Iowa State Cyclones take a 4-3 record into Wednesday night’s game at home against West Virginia. ISU coach Steve Prohm says the key against the Mountaineers is always handling their strength and size.


Normally a contender in the Big-12 the Mountaineers are having a down year and are 1-6 in the league race. Prohm says they are not pressing as much but remain a solid defensive team.


Prohm says defense remains their strength.
