School board approves snow make up dates

Charles City, Iowa – The season’s inclement weather has backed school administration into a corner. Not only is activity and athletic rescheduling a nightmare so is trying to find extra snow days.

Charles City Superintendent Mike Fisher asked the school board Monday night to approve the school’s snow makeup dates.

They did.

Fisher’s recommendation is three parts, the first will absorb one snow day because of extra hours already built in.  The second one changes three month’s worth of in-service scheduling.

The third part is allowing the teachers to make up professional time in a creative and efficient manner.

Students will have half-days on February 18, March 29 and April 19.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
