Fundraiser for new Comet sports complex sold out

Charles City, Iowa – Tickets are sold out for the Charles City athletic complex fundraiser.

The fundraiser is Saturday, February 23 at the Youth Enrichment Center at the Floyd County Fairgrounds from 5:30-9.  There will be a meal and a band.

Superintendent Mike Fisher says the multi-million dollar project is still needs funding.

In November, the school had raised $500,000, inducing $250,000 in matching funds.  The new complex will set on 20 acres on the northeast side of town near the Washington elementary school.

You can contact the school to be on the wait list for tickets.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
