Key funding passes in Iowa legislature for school funding

Des Moines, Iowa -Two bills for education funding have been voted in the Iowa legislature this week, helping lift some financial burdens on schools.

The first is allowable growth or state supplemental aid, which allows the state to give districts financial support based on enrollment.

Representative Todd Prichard says the two percent increase is lower than what he wanted at three percent.

The other bill, transpiration equity, passed with overwhelming bipartisan support.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
