City budget hearing set, levy rates increase for next fiscal year

Charles City, Iowa – A public hearing has been bet set for March 4th at 6 for the 2020 fiscal year budget for Charles City.

City Administrator Steve Diers tells North Iowa News the town’s levy rate is up 7 cents to $15.98.

The levy rate is made function of many things.

He says they try to keep it as consistent as possible.


Diers added the budget is in good shape, but like every year- they’re limited to what they can do.
