The Score Sheet: Crestwood dethroned by NEIC foe, ISU snaps two-game skid

Crestwood was held scoreless for the first six minutes of the game and the defending champion Cadets fell to Waukon 48-37 in a class 3A quarterfinal round game. The Indians forced 25 turnovers in moving their record to 19-3.


Junior standout Sharon Goodman scored 21 points for Crestwood but she only managed to get 12 shots.


Crestwood shot 48 percent for the game but coach Dale Dennler’s team only attempted 29 shots because of the turnovers and several led to easy baskets.


Crestwood ends the season with a 15-6 record and Dennler says he was pleased with the effort.


Iowa State raced away in the second half for a 78-61 win over Oklahoma as the Cyclones snap a two game losing skid at home. ISU coach Steve Prohm.


Marial Shayok scored 21 points as the Cyclones reached the 20 victory mark for the seventh time in eight seasons.


The Cyclones visit Texas on Saturday.


Megan Gustafson grabbed a double-double as tenth-ranked Iowa dropped Neberaksa 74-58.  Gustafson bagged 29 points and 20 rebounds as Iowa improves to 22-6 and 13-4 in the conference.
