Radio edges Newspaper in annual grocery cart race benefiting local food banks

New Hampton, Iowa -95.1 The Bull edged the New Hampton Tribune to take back the hardware in the annual Chickasaw County Food Bank grocery cart race.

Missy and Kellan were able to out-shop  the newspaper by three dollars.

Cassie Hackman is the president of the Chickasaw Farm Bureau and says the the $200 worth of groceries goes to the county’s food banks plus an additional monetary donation.


Pam Pickar with the Chickasaw County Food pantry said the food is needed for those who are unable to provide meals for themselves.
