Chickasaw County continuing search for ambulance service

New Hampton, Iowa – Chickasaw County is continuing to search for an ambulance service for its residents.

The council is close to sending out request for proposals.

The supervisors are concerned about footing a legal fee for the use of the council’s attorney after the county attorney backed out due to a conflict of interest.

EMA Coordinator Jeff Bernatz says the council needs a legal service.

The council, which is made up of town representatives and others, are tagged with paying a share of the legal fees.

Supervisor Jacob Hackman has concerns with how much the county’s portion should be.

The supervisors tabled the topic until more information becomes available.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
