Mary was employed at the Home Trust Bank for 23 years, retiring in 1995. Clarence passed away in January of 1995. She loved to travel with her special friend, Marge Hewitt, and she enjoyed a “dream trip” in 2002 out west. Mary loved taking care of the elderly and going to visit people in the nursing homes. She was a very loving and compassionate person and the people she cared for truly loved her. She was a fun person and had a good sense of humor. Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren, Ryan, Keely and Allison, whom she adored, and she had a deep love for her sons, Mark and Dennis. Mary also cared about those less fortunate than her and “took in” youngsters when they were having problems at home. She loved animals and gave generously to the Humane Society and other charitable organizations. Mary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Osage V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her son, Jon Michael; her parents, John and Juanita Karwac; brother, Jerry (Dolores) Karwac; and her beloved dog, Max.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
