School district finalizing calendar for next two years

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City School District is close to making next year’s school calendar official.

Superintendent Mike Fisher says next year’s calendar is similar to this year.

He made the process people driven by gathering input from a wide array of district stake holders.

One noticeable change is the school day will be five minutes alonger according to Fisher.  This will add time for snow days, make up times and professional  learning days.

The group made so much success they’ve created a calendar for following year too.

A public hearing on the school calendar is set for Monday, April 8, 2019 at 6:15 in the middle school 7th grade learning studio.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
