Iowa’s top burger narrowed to ten, features Northeast Iowa joint

Elgin, Iowa – The search for Iowa’s top burger has been narrowed to ten.  In the group of finalists is Dotzy’s Restaurant and Saloon in Elgin.

To qualify, the burger must be a 100 percent beef patty or patties, although other ingredients may be added.  Burgers may include a combination of condiments and toppings.

A panel of anonymous judges will visit the burger joints and evaluate the beef baste on taste, appearance and proper doneness.  The judges’ scores will be accumulated and the winner will be crowned on May 1.

Dotzy’s Restaurant and Saloon is new to the completion this year.
