Tornado sirens, watches and warnings expected for yearly test

Charles City, Iowa – As severe weather week continues, residents across the state will be able to practice what they should do during a tornadic event.

Jeff Boyne with the National Weather Service says they will be issues a tornado watch followed by a warning.

Between 10 and 10:15, you will be hearing tornado sirens.

Police Chief Hugh Anderson says sounding the sirens kicks off the spring and summer monthly tests.

The sirens continue on the first Wednesday of every month at 10 am, weather pending.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
