Spring Fling opens in Shell Rock in April

Shell Rock, Iowa – Residents of 13 area communities will be dusting off their instruments and readying their golden pipes once again for the 54th year for the Spring Swing.

One of the chairs of the event Linda Moeller says it’s one of the oldest variety shows around.


The cast has a 32 member chorus and 17 in the band.

She says one of the reasons for its multi-decade popularity is the music people can hear.


The cast includes Steward Coulson of Charles City, David Bolin and Jackie Schoneman of Clarksville, Nashua residents Mary Jo Stille and Ron Stille and Green resident Jordan Scribner.
