ChickFest returns with new twists, same community involvement

Charles City, Iowa – The biggest shopping day for area merchants is back and it’s this Saturday.

ChickFest has become one of the most popular spring traditions offering deals, discounts, demonstrations and free gifts showcasing Charles City’s unique retail offerings.

New this year is the chance to score a free gift or discount by finding a golden ticket in one of the 150 gift bags.  You can also get a horse-drawn carriage ride from Central Park for a free will donation supporting a new non-profit called Magdalene’s Light.

The organization is a residential and vocation program for abused and trafficked women.

Farmer’s market vendors and in-home businesses will also be set up around town.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
