Forum on ‘Agent Orange’ exposure set for Saturday

Waverly, Iowa – The Bremer County Veterans Affairs is holding an Agent Orange and Toxic Exposure Town Hall meeting Saturday afternoon from 1-4 at the Waverly Area Veterans post.

Vietnam War veterans and their families will talk about their health effects they’re experiencing due to exposure of Agent Orange.

Twenty-two million gallons of the cancer-causing chemical were used during the Vietnam War according to the Veteran’s Office.

Studies show exposure can lead to different forms of cancer and other cognitive illness.

The Veterans Administration has determined illness directly related to Agent Orange is eligible for compensation.
