Joan was born December 27, 1928, on a farm south of Nora Springs, to Joseph and Mamie (Keammerer) Ryner.  She graduated from Rudd High School in 1946.  She attended the University of Dubuque for one year, majoring in music and was selected as a member of the traveling choir.

On September 14, 1947, she married Robert Klemesrud in Bethany, Missouri. They were married 67 years and lived on their farm north of Rudd while they raised their family.  Joan was kept busy making meals and taking her 5 children to all of their activities.  Joan was a member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church and served a variety of offices with the Rock Creek Church Women and directed the ladies’ chorus.  She was a great cook and also enjoyed music and singing, crafts like crocheting and painting, writing poetry, crossword puzzles, bowling, fishing and in later years Facebook.  She was always ready to play cards or a game.  Joan and Bob retired to a home in Osage in 2002, then moved to Faith Home Assisted Living in 2014.  She remained there after Bob’s death in 2015, and recently moved to Faith Lutheran Home, because of illness.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
