MiEnergy urging customers to remain cautious, patient as restoration continues

Cresco, Iowa – MiEnergy officials are urging caution to its customers in areas affected by last week’s storm.

The company says power has been temporarily restored since Saturday but they ‘know in the coming days there will be additional power outages where equipment has been compromised,’ according to a press release.

MiEnergy reported 5,000 electric service interruptions and 100 broken distribution poles due to rain, ice and wind on Wednesday and Thursday.

The company added it will take weeks to clean up and caution residents to be patient when seeing down power lines to report and not drive over them.

To report a power outage, call 800-432-2285.
