New Hampton, Turkey Valley FFA members compete at state leadership conference

Ames, Iowa – The New Hampton FFA chapter highlighted their trip to the State FFA Leadership Conference in Ames Sunday-Tuesday by bringing home 10 Iowa Degrees:

Natalie Hoey
Lexie Maloy
Ali McDonald
Kassidy Pfaffle
Mitch Pickar
Max Schwickerath
Derek Wight

Two members competed in the Greenhand Quiz.
Receiving a silver award was Kelsey Klassen, and a with bronze, Luke Leichtman.

FFA members also participated in 3 state level Career Development Events.
In Biotechnology receiving a bronze were members Dwight Schwickerath, Tyler Reicks, Ryan Pickar and Caleb Flugum.

The Farm Management Team received a silver. Kaylee Eggerichs, Chrissy Speicher and Blake Geerts were the contestants.
In the Poultry Evaluation, team members were Zach Utley, Beth Schwickerath, Jacob Reicks, and Tyanna Leichtenberg receiving a silver rating.

Turkey Valley students competed in four events.
Poultry Judging consisted of Kayla Burke, Shayla Kuennen, Carter Reicks, Liza Herold got a silver.

Public Speaking who had Raegan Kime got a silver.

Greenhand Quiz was anchored by Harley Baumler, Dylan Reicks who got a bronze.

The Farm Management team of Nathan Malven, Tristen Langreck, Sam Kout, Keegan Balk got a bronze.

Megan Kueker received an Iowa Degree

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
