New Hampton man pleads guilty to child pornography charges

New Hampton, Iowa – A New Hampton man plead guilty in federal court last week to possessing and distributing child pornography.
The Globe Gazette reports 56-year-old William Rolen was convicted of one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession.
He admitted at his plea hearing to doing both.
He faces a minimum of 5 years of prison with a maximum of 40, a $500,000 fine $10,200 in special assessments and supervised release for five years to life.
Rolen has yet to be sentenced but remains in custody with federal marshals
