Area FFA members attend World Food Prize Iowa Youth Institute

Ames, Iowa – Area FFA members traveled to Ames yesterday to participate in the eighth annual World Food Prize Iowa Youth Institute.

Charles City’s Bronson Forsyth, Rockford’s Hannah Mahlstedt, Amber Reams and Jayden Joregensen along with Samantha Tolai of Nashua explored academic and career paths in fields related to STEM.

It allows students to experience agriculture and global development and aims to inspire the next generation of leaders through authentic research presentations and networking opportunities with global experts.

The Iowa Youth Institute has hosted participants from over 71 percent of Iowa high schools since its inaugural event in 2012 and has been referred to as the most unique and innovative event that inspires Iowa high school students to become global leaders.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them.
