Three-vehicle collision at Floyd intersection leaves minor injuries

Initial impact sends pickup and van into median towards semi-truck

Floyd, Iowa – Minor injuries were reported after a three vehicle collision Friday morning at the Highway 18 and 218 intersection near Floyd.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office told North Iowa News, a south bound pickup truck on Highway 218 stopped, pulled out and hit a red van.

The impact sent the vehicles into the median where they struck an east bound semi waiting to turn north onto highway 218.

Two vehicles received major damage.
