New Hampton, Iowa – It is that time of year again and New Hampton is ready to go.  Heartland Days 2019 begins tomorrow and it looks like it will be  great time for all ages.

Friday night kicks off the annual event with a parade going through downtown on main street, followed by all kinds of fun at Mikkelson Park.

Something new for Heartland Days this year is what New Hampton Horizon’s Chamber Director Jason Speltz  calls a family night of sorts. The band The Dweebs making an appearance after taking a several year break.

Saturday there will be a kiddie tractor pull in the park, a 5K run/walk sponsored by the Chickasaw Wellness Complex, an exciting nail-biting Extreme Bull Riding Event in the afternoon at Kenwood park and the Vic Ferrari Band taking the stage Saturday night at the band shell.

Fireworks will also happen Saturday Night at dusk.

Chickasaw County Rescue Squad will also be on hand serving up burgers, hot dogs and many other food favorites as well.
