School’s Out: Charles City students gone for summer

Charles City, Iowa –

The day has finally come for Charles City students.

It’s the last day of the school year.

That’s fourth-grader Edie Collins:

The year has come to its close for students after a year that never wanted to end.

Mother Nature tested and tried the school system forcing a longer year and according to eighth grader Katie Prichard, it means summer vacation is even more special.

For some students, they will be taking the summer off before moving onto new milestones such as a new buildings, or those like Prichard, they’re headed to the high school.

Students dismissed early on their final school day in 2019.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
