Report shows more than half of Mid American Energy comes from renewable resources

Des Moines, Iowa – MidAmerican energy announced Wednesday the company provided its customers with 51.4 percent of their energy came from renewable resources last year.

A report from the Iowa Utilities Board filed the data Friday saying renewable energy percentage rose slightly from 2017.  MidAmerican Energy expects it to continue increase, without seeking rate increases, as the company completes additional projects.

The company utilizes two programs helping generate power from renewable energy, the Green Advantage Program and Wind XII.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
