Charles City Youth Talent Show returns Sunday

Charles City, Iowa – Some of the most talented youth in the area will be performing in Charles City on Sunday, July 7, for a chance to win cash prizes and qualify for the Iowa State Fair.

Each year the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a local Bill Riley Talent Show as part of the Fourth of July Celebration, featuring performers ages 2-21 in the areas of vocal, instrumental and dance. This show is free and open to all to compete in, with cash prizes awarded to the top three place finishers in both the Sprout (2-12) and Senior (13-21) age divisions. The show also serves as a qualifier for the statewide Bill Riley Talent Show, which culminates at the Iowa State Fair.

This year’s Charles City show will be held at the auditorium at 500 North Grand Ave., starting at 1 p.m. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend and help support these young performers.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
