Chickasaw County Board of Health disagrees on outside council for help

New Hampton, Iowa – Discussions continued Tuesday morning with the Chickasaw County Board of Health whether or not to hire an outside counsel to fix what administrator Kathy Babock calls “problems.”

Babcock presented hiring the idea of hiring HR representative Paul Greufe for $75 per hour.

Some members pushed back on the idea like Supervisor Steve Geerts who said Guefe “isn’t a trustworthy person” after the he was the county’s HR director for eight years.

The county hired Ahlers and Cooney representative Mike Galloway July 1.

When asked why pay for two HR representatives when one is already supplied by the county, Babcock responded:

The board voted to have Galloway present at the next board of health meeting in August.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
