Yet, another river rescue for Winneshiek County

Decorah, Iowa – The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to two more river rescues last week.

The first rescue happened around 8 p.m. on July 12 where three females were reportedly stranded while tubing on the river near Freeport.

The second came around 3:45 on July 16, the sheriff’s office says two females had capsized a kayak near the bridge at Pole Line Road and Bluffton Road.
