Charles City, Iowa – With the Floyd County Fair in the books, it became year to remember thanks to volunteers according to Fair Board President Amy Staudt.
After an EF1 twister destroyed nearly half of the fairgrounds in late May, fair officials began making plans to resurrect what was left.
Stuadt says the credit goes to the exhibitors.
She says the next step is rebuilding and making it better than before.
After that, mapping the grounds and deciding what each building should have and plan for the future.
