Keep your garden green this summer with some tips

Consistent watering is half the battle

Charles City, Iowa – It is becoming tough to keep lawns and gardens green with summer slowly coming to a close and scarce rain in the area.

Jean King, greenhouse manager at Otto’s Oasis says the best course of action aside from watering the plants involves buying some fertilizer.


King added many ways people can resurrect a downtrodden plant such as, watering until the soil is heavy and saturated to combat the immense heat of the summer months.


For those starting to plant as the weather conditions start to change, King urges you to stick to the basics.
