Nashua accepts police chief’s resignation, approves process for another one

Nashua, Iowa – The City of Nashua will be looking for another police chief as the city council approved Ben Scholl’s resignation Monday night.

It’s is effective Sunday.

Members moved to hire for Scholl’s replacement but member Scott Cerwinske says he felt money is better spent other places.

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office is contracted for 160 hours of monthly service and will continue at the same rate.

The council’s next step is to advertise for the position.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
