Rep King backs stance on ‘Red Flag Law’

Charles City, Iowa – Fourth Congressional Representative Steve King is backing his stance on the constitutionality of the proposed “Red Flag Law.”

He said it’s unconstitutional at a town hall Tuesday in Charles City.

The Red Flag Law allows for law enforcement or people to petition the court for an order to remove firearms should a person present a danger to themselves or others.

King says changing the second amendment sets a bad precedent on America’s civil liberties.

He says all constitutional rights must be “exercised all the time or the atrophy over time.”

He added his stance is based on the idea of standing behind the constitution.
