Charles City Council set to approve WRRF bid

Charles City, Iowa – Bids are in and the Charles City Council is scheduled to approve a 17 million dollar project for its new wastewater treatment facility.

Mayor Dean Andrews says the facility will improve and change the way resident’s water is treated.

According to Andrews, the city received four bids, one came in above the 17.5 million dollar estimate, while others were closer to the projection.

He says several factors play into bid projections from contractors.

The city council is expected to approve the 17 million dollar bid package at tonight’s meeting.
