The preliminary enrollment numbers for the Charles City school system are in – and they are up. From October 1st of 2018 to October 1st of 2019, there are 11 more students. Mike Fisher, superintendent of schools, says the number is encouraging but could have been higher if not for Simply Essentials closing in early August.
Fisher says the future is bright after adding a Chief Enrollment Officer on the payroll.
Fisher believes open enrollment statistics are looking positive as well.
The school system is up 10 in open enrollment net.
